Our Field Trip to The Post Office

In our Writing Unit on Friendly Letters our students enjoyed learning about how to write a friendly letter using its five main parts.  On our field trip, the students learned the purpose and duties of a local Post Office in Monroe, NC. They learned about how much it costs to send a letter, how mail is sorted, and mainly how a post office runs. They enjoyed themselves, and they know now the importance of the Post Office.

Working Together to be Better People

Our girls have had their share of problems with getting along with one another. They recognized that their attitude, gossiping, instigating and unfriendliness made it a lot harder to be friends. 

After many discussions on how to be a friend and how to solve conflicts with one another. They have decided that it is much easier to be friendly than to be unfriendly. They have learned to talk out their problems with each other and involve an adult only when they are needed. I am so PROUD of the young ladies that they have become!!! Keep Up the GOOD WORK girlies ! Who says that girls can't get along!!
